Black Range Poetry & Pickin’ Festival

In celebration of the Centennial of the Gila Wilderness, the Black Range Poetry & Pickin’ Festival includes music, poetry, food and beverages, book sales and art vendors. Poetry readings will be moderated by Frederico Almarez, New Mexico State University / Dona Ana Community College.

Saturday June 1

6-7pm: NM Poetry Anthology Poetry Readings, Ruben Leyva (Chihene Nde Apache): Ancestral Land Acknowledgement & Gila Tribute Reflection
7:15-9pm: Music by John Coinman (singer / songwriter and music supervisor for “Dances with Wolves”) with Blair Forward

Sunday June 2

12-2pm: Black Cat Poets (Truth or Consequences)
2-4pm: Hillsboro Pickin’ Circle Jam
